Data Deletion Instructions

Your data, your control

ClassKhata is an offline-first application. All data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not store, access, or transmit any of your data to external servers. This means you have full and complete control over your data at all times.

Method 1: Delete Specific Records Inside the App

You can delete individual students, payment records, courses, or any other data directly within the app:

Open ClassKhata

Launch the app on your device and log in with your PIN or password.

Navigate to the record

Go to the section containing the data you want to delete (e.g., Students, Payments, Courses).

Select and delete

Tap on the specific record, then use the delete option (trash icon or swipe-to-delete). Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Method 2: Clear All App Data

To delete all data stored by ClassKhata at once, clear the app's data through your device settings:

Open device Settings

Go to your Android device's Settings app.

Find ClassKhata

Navigate to Apps (or Applications) → Find and tap ClassKhata in the app list.

Clear data

Tap Storage → Tap Clear Data (or Clear Storage). Confirm when prompted. This will permanently delete all records, settings, and login information.

Warning: This action is irreversible. All student records, fee history, receipts, and settings will be permanently deleted. Make sure to export any important data before clearing.

Method 3: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling ClassKhata from your device will permanently remove all data associated with the app:

Long-press the app icon

Find the ClassKhata app icon on your home screen or app drawer. Long-press it.

Select Uninstall

Tap Uninstall from the menu that appears. Confirm when prompted.

All data is deleted

Once uninstalled, all locally stored data (students, payments, receipts, courses, settings) is permanently removed from your device.

Method 4: Request Data Deletion via Support

If you need assistance deleting your data or have questions about the deletion process, you can contact our support team. Since ClassKhata stores data locally, we will guide you through the deletion process on your device.

We aim to respond to all data deletion inquiries within 48 hours.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you clear data or uninstall ClassKhata, the following information is permanently removed:

Deleted

  • Student records & profiles
  • Fee payment history
  • Digital receipts
  • Course/batch configurations
  • Institute settings & logo
  • Login PIN/password

Not affected

  • Previously exported PDFs/Excel files (saved to your device storage independently)
  • WhatsApp messages already sent to parents/students
  • Your license/activation key

No Server-Side Data to Delete

ClassKhata is an offline-first application. We do not maintain any servers that store your personal data, student records, or fee information. Therefore, there is no server-side data that needs to be deleted. All deletion is handled entirely on your local device using the methods described above.
