ClassKhata ("we", "our", or "us") is an offline-first fee management application designed for tuition centers, coaching academies, software institutes, and similar educational establishments. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

By installing or using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the application.

2. Data We Collect

ClassKhata is an offline-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. All information is stored locally on your device.

Data stored locally on your device:

Institute/academy name and settings
Student names, contact numbers, and course enrollment details
Fee payment records, receipts, and due balances
Course/batch configurations and schedules
App login credentials (PIN/password stored locally)

Data we do NOT collect:

Personal identification documents or government IDs
Location data, GPS coordinates, or IP addresses
Bank account details, credit card numbers, or financial credentials
Usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking cookies

3. How We Use Your Data

Since all data remains on your device, we do not use, process, or access your data in any way. The information you enter into ClassKhata is used solely by you to:

Manage student records and enrollment information
Track fee payments, dues, and generate receipts
Generate collection reports and summaries
Send WhatsApp messages (via device's WhatsApp integration) for due alerts

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a local database on your device. We implement the following security measures:

PIN/Password Protection: The app can be locked with a PIN or password to prevent unauthorized access.
Local-Only Storage: No data is transmitted to remote servers, cloud storage, or third-party services.
No Third-Party Access: We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third party.

5. Third-Party Services

ClassKhata does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain:

Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any analytics SDK
Advertising networks or ad SDKs
Social media trackers or cookies

The only external action is launching WhatsApp (if installed) via your device's intent system to send due reminders. This is initiated by you and handled entirely by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

6. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data at all times:

Delete individual records: Remove specific students, payments, or courses from within the app.
Clear all data: Use the app's settings to reset all data completely.
Uninstall the app: Removing the app from your device permanently deletes all stored data.

7. Children's Privacy

ClassKhata is designed for use by institute administrators and owners. It is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The student records managed within the app are entered and controlled entirely by the institute administrator.

8. Permissions

ClassKhata may request the following device permissions:

Storage To save the local database and export PDF/Excel reports.
Internet Only for license verification (one-time activation). Not required for daily operations.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
